Why practice spirituality, and how can a daily spiritual practice support your spiritual growth? In this Walk and Talk, I explore what spiritual practice means to me, how meditation and self-awareness fit into everyday life, and why finding a practice that works for you matters.

Join me on the southern coast of England as I share my own approach to spirituality: working with limiting beliefs, finding ways to meditate with an active mind, and using Ho’oponopono as part of my daily practice. I also explore the relationship between inner work, channeling and service, and how our practice can grow and change with us.

Whether you’re beginning your spiritual journey or have been practising for years, this is an invitation to reflect on what draws you to spirituality and what you want from your own practice.

In this video, we explore:
• What it means to practice spirituality
• Spiritual practice as a daily habit
• Everyday self-awareness
• Spiritual growth, limiting beliefs and embracing change
• Finding your own path

Why should we practise spirituality? That’s the question I’m being drawn to today as I take us on a beautiful walk along the southern coast of England. I’m going to break down the reasons why I practise it, why I feel so drawn to it, perhaps discuss topics why maybe you might want to consider it, or perhaps even to dive deeper into it. So whether you’ve been following the path for a long time or you’re brand new to this, I hope there will be something in it for you. Let’s begin, shall we? Here we go.

So I realised when this popped into my mind this morning when I was thinking about what to film this week, I realised I’ve never really actually talked about this on the channel, even though I’ve been doing this for years now. And I think it’s a good question, you know, why should we practise spirituality? Why should we make it perhaps a daily routine? Or why should we be kind of pushing to step forward, doing more workshops or meditating more, or, or whatever it might be? This is kind of a broad discussion, I think, that will be useful for anyone at any level, whether you’re brand new to this subject or whether you’ve been doing it for years and then maybe you’re considering doing a little bit more, a little bit less, wherever you are on your journey.

Now, I’ve said this metaphor before, but the way that I see practising spirituality—because of course spirituality is a way of life really, it’s a way of seeing the world and seeing ourselves—but when it comes to actually practising spirituality, I think of it a lot like going to the gym. We all know that to live our best life we should be in good shape, we should be eating good food, we should be getting regular exercise, we should be building strength, bone density, all of these different things. There’s so many benefits to being in good shape. And I think this is quite broadly accepted planet-wide by everyone, no matter what background you come from. But yet the actual percentage of people who actively exercise is not 100%. I don’t know what the numbers are, to be honest, but it’s definitely not 100%. I would suspect it’s possibly less than 50%, despite the fact that we all know that it’s good for us, you know, to live the best version of ourselves. That’s what we need.

And I think of spirituality or practising spirituality in much the same way. And I think this is probably where we’re going to be going as we move through this ascension process. As, as this information becomes more mainstream, it’ll become accepted by, you know, the vast majority of the population on this planet. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that everyone’s going to be practising it. It doesn’t mean we’re all going to be talking about angels and working with our guides and walking around draped in crystals, but I do believe it’ll be much more accepted, much more a part of our world than it has been up until this point of time.

And so practising spirituality is much like exercising. We can get to a place where we can accept that it’s good for us, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that we actually have the will or the inclination or whatever it is to make it a part of our regular lives. And, you know, I’ve known a number of people in my life who I would consider to be spiritual people. You know, they have an interest in spirituality, they believe in angels, they maybe have a few crystals, they believe in the power of positivity, and they think about things from the spiritual perspective, but they don’t practise spirituality. They don’t regularly do their chakras. They don’t meditate. They’re not working to ascend, essentially, to overcome our challenges and to return to that place of spirit, to overcome the limitations of being a human being.

And I guess that’s probably the starting point in this discussion. That’s the thing that we need to define before anything else. What does it even mean to practise spirituality? And I would love to get your input on this as well. So whatever it means to you, you know, feel free to leave a comment down below. It would be really, really interesting to see. We can all learn together from each other’s experiences.

But for me personally, my own journey with practising spirituality—I’m just going to let you see where I am right now because I’m just coming down to the beautiful ocean. Practising spirituality to me is about trying to better ourselves. I often think that what it is that I do is more than anything, it’s essentially self-help. It’s just done through the lens of spirituality as opposed to psychology. And so for me, to practise spirituality is to overcome the challenges that I have in life and to purify myself. To try and become the best version of myself, to overcome limited ways of thinking, to really embrace my power, to open up my heart, to live compassionately, to open myself up to intuition, to be able to live an intuitive life, to be able to live in harmony with the universe, in divine will, to be able to go to the flow, with the flow and surrender to the situations. That to me is what it is to live spiritually, and that’s the goal that I’m working towards.

And the way in which I do that is to be very analytical about myself, in fact, actually about the ways that I separate myself from the divine within me, the ways in which I, um, the ways in which I separate from God, the ways in which I diminish my power, I—the ways in which I don’t live in divine love. Divine love, of course, being as equally important to love ourselves as to love others, to, to love the God within us. I’m quite analytical about these things, and I actively work to try and overcome those limitations, to raise my vibration, as we say, to drop density, to essentially—I’m working to try and become the best version of myself. And I’m doing this for myself, I’m doing this for my family, and I’m doing it so that I can serve at the highest level that I possibly can do.

I had my workshop this week with, with Tim Whild, Recognise Your Power, and one of the things I, I was mentioning in that is we essentially, all of us, are a channel. Yes, I’m considered a channel for my job. I channel information and messages, but we are all channels whenever we are bringing through intuitive wisdom from a source, whenever we may be offering healing or giving a reading or whatever it might be, we are becoming a channel for information. We are allowing energy to move through us. And, you know, Melchizedek said before, the ultimate act of service is literally to hold the light and to anchor it here on Earth, to become a beacon of that light and share it with everyone around us, to help those around us in their own journey. Even when we’re doing that, we are a channel, and as a channel, we are essentially—we are a blend of the human self and whatever it is that we’re channelling. So for me, whenever I’m trying to channel a message, it’s never pure. I don’t believe there has ever been anyone on this planet that has been a 100% pure channel, because whatever we bring through from Spirit is always a merging of Spirit and us. And in order to be the best channel we can possibly be, we have to purify ourselves and allow that purity to come through. When we do that, we’re able to step the human side away, at the side if you will, as much as possible and allow that Spirit to come through. And so that’s one of my goals, is to purify myself so that I can be the best channel I can possibly be in whatever medium I’m doing it.

And, you know, the ways that I do that are regular meditation. Now, in terms of meditation, I, I have to admit I could be better. I am not great at just sitting and doing nothing for long periods of time. I’m quite an active person and I’ve got a very active mind, and I’m not good at just sitting and doing nothing. But that doesn’t mean that I can’t meditate. The way that I have found to meditate is to actively do something. So for instance, the channel—to be able to connect with a being and film a video or perhaps automatic write, or, or whatever it is, is an active form of meditation. I’m still meditating, I’m still emptying my mind, I’m still, still allowing myself to be in that beautiful, peaceful, and loving energy, but I’m doing so in a way that allows me to dedicate my focus in a particular place as opposed to being able to completely turn off my focus. Now, I hope one day that I can overcome that and that I can truly just meditate for the sake of meditating, but it gives me a way that I can regularly meditate. And of course, I do this for a living. This is my primary job, and so that gives me ample opportunities to, to regularly do it, to regularly practise spirituality.

But for me, other ways that I do it are just simply just being aware of how I’m thinking and how I’m feeling during the day and trying to actively overcome that. The last 6 months or so, I’ve really found a love for the Ho’oponopono prayer, and I’ve been using that a lot in my practise. And every time I experience some level of separation, of fragmentation, some anxiety, stress, fear, whatever it is in my life, I return to the Ho’oponopono prayer. I direct it to the Divine within me and use it as a tool for releasing whatever that limited way of thinking is so that I can move forward. To me, I consider that practise. I consider that part of my daily activity to help me in my overall goal.

But I’m talking quite kind of practically here really about service work and etc., etc., etc. To be the best version of ourselves means calming the mind. It means being able to live more intuitively. It means being able to find more peace in our life. It means being able to manifest from a much higher frequency and therefore change the circumstances of our life. You know, I’ve talked a lot—a lot of the channelings this year have in particular been focused on, you know, the reality is a mirror, and the fact that our internal state is what dictates our external reality. It’s our expectation and our perception of it that shifts the world around us. So when we practise spirituality, when we begin to come out, overcome these limitations, and we change our internal vibration, we change our reality around us.

And so I think for anyone who’s not living the life that they want to live, for anyone who’s looking at the circumstances of their life and wishing to change things, to live a better life, whether it’s more peaceful, more joyful, more loving, more abundant, whatever it is, I believe that spirituality is the part that is the path to achieve that. And for me, you know, that’s, that’s the number one reason to do this, really, to, to find that peace, that clarity, to change the circumstances of our life and begin to live the way that we wish to. Because quite frankly, this life is a blessing. This world is beautiful. I mean, just look at that. Just look at that incredible view out behind me. Listen to the ocean if you can. The microphone’s picking it up. This world is truly gorgeous. It’s exceptional. And to be able to live here is such a blessing. I am so blessed to be able to live just down the road from this incredible space, to be able to come down here and regularly film videos.

And I know that I am where I am because of the path that I’ve chosen, the work that I’ve done. And I know I’m also not my final destination, and I’ve still got lots of work to go to do, but I’m continuing on this path, and I know that my reality will shift every single day, maybe in imperceivable ways, but every single day I shift, and so my life changes with it. And if that’s not a reason to practise, I don’t know what is, you know. And I think if we, if we all look at ourselves, we all have things that we would desire to change. There’s very, very few people on this planet that would say that they don’t, and I would say they’re probably lying to themselves if that’s the case. And this is a path that helps us do it, just like exercise can help us feel better by changing our brain chemistry. You know, that can in turn change our thoughts and our behaviours, and therefore that can shift our reality as well. Spirituality is just another path to do that.

And, you know, I think it’s a—if you’re watching this, no matter where you are on your journey, it’s a good thing to, to just ask ourselves, you know, what is it we want to achieve in this life? Melchizedek’s been asking, you know, what does heaven on earth mean to you? That was this question in the Energy Update this month. What does heaven on earth mean to you and how can you achieve it? What is it that you need to do in order to start living from that place? And likewise, what does spiritual practise mean to you? What do you currently do? Do you want to be able to do more? Do you feel that you could get benefit out of your life from doing more? What is it about spirituality that attracts you to it? And how can you have more of those positive aspects in your life? If it’s doing a beautiful meditation, maybe attending a workshop or a class or something like that, and that feeling that you get afterwards—if that’s a positive feeling, do you want more of that in your life? And ultimately, because we are in control of our life, we have the power to make that decision and make the change.

And I guarantee, and I will put my own hand up here, you know, as I said earlier, I’d like to be able to have more regular meditation practise. I’d like to be able to quiet the mind and move more into that state. And we all come up with excuses. I, you know, say I don’t have enough time or whatever it is, or I’m just not very good at that. But that’s an excuse. If I truly want it, I can overcome that part of me, that limiting belief that’s stopping me from taking that step. And if I am able, if I’m willing to do that, have the will, the courage, the strength, whatever it is that I need in order to act on that, I will do that and I will make that change in my life and my life will be better for it. I think that’s true for all of us.

Human beings, we are amazing at making excuses. And when we say them to ourselves, they seem so real. We have reasons behind it, reasons that are valid for us for where we are on this journey at this point in time. They are valid based on our current psychological sense. But if there’s something that’s blocking us from doing what we really want to do with our life, is it worth overcoming that? Is it worth making the choice to let go of whatever that thing is that’s holding us back from, from doing it, from making that change, from making our life better? Up? Is it belief? Because we believe we can’t change. This is such a classic limiting belief that so many people hold—the belief that things don’t change or that we can’t change. The truth is we change in each and every second of every single moment. The law of transmutation sees to that. We are constantly drawing in energy and we’re giving out energy. And in this moment you’re watching this video, you’re receiving energy from me, you’re receiving energy from the beautiful ocean, from the sun as you witness this. You’re receiving and you’re giving, you’re giving out into your environment. You are sharing with those around you, you’re sharing your light and your love, and you are receiving from others in kind. If you’re drinking, whilst you watch this. If you’re eating whilst you watch this, you’re drawing in energy from that food. Your state is fluctuating in each and every second. So we’re changing in every moment of our lives. Truth is, nothing ever stays the same. So the idea that things can’t change, it’s kind of preposterous when we think about it from that perspective. Things are always changing. Nothing ever stays the same. When we can embrace that change, we can overcome anything and we can change our lives. And I believe personally that spirituality is an amazing path to do that. It gives us all the tools that we need in order to change ourselves and to change our lives, no matter what the circumstances.

And it can be overwhelming at times, I know that. It can be overwhelming to look at our lives and go, there’s so much that I want to be different, where do I even begin? And you know, the spiritual path’s not a quick one. We’ve been working on it for lifetimes to get to the point where we are now, and we might well carry on doing that in lifetimes in the future. And that’s okay, but that doesn’t mean that in each moment we can’t make the next moment that little bit better just by embracing the path and moving upon it.

I mentioned in my last video that I’ve had this perception for years now that the spiritual path is hard. I’ve talked about this a lot. It is a hard journey, but in fact it’s my perception of it being hard that makes it hard. If we believe that it’s easy, it will be easy because that’s the way reality works. And so I think that can be an off-putting thing for lots of people trying to get into spirituality, is the belief that it’s really, really hard work. And where I’m at right now is a belief that as long as if we’re willing to let go of the things that don’t serve us and openly invite support to do that, then actually all we need to do is sit, but sit back and follow the journey. If we call to the universe, to God, to the angels, to your guides, whoever, for support to help us find the next step, that’s exactly what happened. An opportunity for a course or a class or a video or a post will appear before you that will give you the answer that you need. And in that moment, in that split second, you change. Then you take a little bit of time maybe to integrate that, and then the next moment will come along, and then the next moment, and the next moment. And then you’ll look back at your life 3 years ago, a year ago, 10 years ago, and you’ll realise you’re a completely different person. I’m a completely different person to who I was at the beginning of this year, let alone going back beyond that. And that is through spiritual practise.

And this ascension process, the crazy moons and the solar flares and the retrogrades and all of those different things, you know, it’s all a part of the process, of course, but that we shouldn’t belittle the role that we play in this as well. And I honestly believe that spiritual practise has, has been a huge part of that. I’m actually kind of lucky really that I do this for a living because it actively puts me in situations every single time that I run a workshop or share a video, I am sharing that same experience with you. I might be leading a meditation, but I’m sharing that same experience with you. I’m receiving the same energy. I’m going through the same processes and the same shifts. And in fact, it’s become quite clear to me over the years that actually what I’m guided to talk about in a particular video or to create as a workshop is what I need for where I am on the journey. And it’s just an opportunity to share that with other people, to all come together to grow, to learn, to heal, to overcome together. By sharing this work, I’m doing the work too. In fact, quite a lot of the time, especially with videos, I will be guided towards something and I don’t even know what I’m going to say when I start filming. I knew today that I had to talk about spiritual practise. And beyond that, I had no idea. And this is just what’s coming to me as I’m here in the moment and talking about it. And that’s because of just being open to the journey and surrendering to what comes next, to just follow the path.

And we are so blessed at this point in time because we have an incredible abundance of energy that’s here to support us in transformation. Because there’s so many beautiful teachers out there who are running classes and sharing free content on YouTube and Facebook and Instagram, who are running workshops, who are doing meditation or yoga classes or writing about subjects or whatever it is. There is an abundance of beautiful people out there sharing incredible information. It’s easier than it has ever been to learn about spirituality and to find the things that resonate for you, to assist you on your journey. Because what’s right for me is not going to be what’s right for you. I know that what I was talking about earlier, my idea of spiritual practise and the way that I work, won’t be the same as it is for you. Maybe there’s some ideas that you can take from what I’ve spoken about that you can incorporate into your own and mix it with something someone else is talking about. And you will form your own idea of practise, of what works for you, of the way to live your life with Spirit.

And yeah, I think the rambling may have come to a natural pause. So really the goal of this video, I think, is just to get us thinking about practising spirituality. About what that means, about how we are maybe currently practising and how we can practise it, about why we might want to. Think about that question: why would you want to practise spirituality? What’s drawing you here? And let’s, let’s know in the comments. Let’s get a conversation going. And where do you want to go next? Where do you want to take your journey?

It’s incredibly windy here, so I hope you can hear me properly. I do apologise. It was nice and calm when I left the house. Um, I would be remiss if I didn’t say, of course, I run multiple workshops every single month—guided meditations, channelings—to help us to overcome, to learn, to grow, to change our lives. That’s the idea of all of it. We change ourselves, we change our lives. So please do, if you feel guided to, check out my website. There’s loads with recordings from past workshops plus stuff coming up in the future, and it would be a joy to share that with you. But as always, thank you so, so much for watching. Thank you so much for being here on this beautiful walk, and I just wish you the most beautiful day ahead. Sending you so much love, my heart to yours. Bye!
