This week’s message is simple, my friends. I want to share with you one simple truth, something I realise I have been on a journey towards discovering myself without even recognising it until the energetic flow brought me clarity today.
You are the gift.
It is so common for people on the spiritual path, myself included, to continually question:
What is my purpose?
Why am I here?
What am I meant to be doing?
What are my gifts?
But what I am slowly beginning to understand is that none of those things really matter.
I believe my own part in questioning comes from a desire to discern the future in order to feel safe in the present. Or from the ego trying to understand if one day I will feel worthy.
This may be a controversial statement, but the future doesn’t matter. All that matters is the present moment.
And even if the future did matter, it would be defined by what we do in the present moment. Which brings me back to… all that matters is the present moment.
In this moment, we have power.
We have control.
We can make decisions for our own personal gain,
and for the collective.
But what about the past?
I think of this much like school. Yea, it kind of sucked, it was painful, and there are lots of moments that I think I would be better off if I could forget. But… I would be wrong.
Every single moment of my past that has led to the present has made me who I am today.
I am grateful for every heartache.
I am grateful for every rejection.
I am grateful for every time I fell down and the opportunity to stand back up.
I am grateful for every mistake that helped me learn and grow.
Without these challenges, I wouldn’t be David.
And why wouldn’t I want to be David? I am living a blessed life.
Of course, there are things I want to change. My life up until this point has been far from “perfect” (whatever that means), but I get to share every single day with people I love more than anything in this world (cats are people too 😻), and I get the opportunity to be of service.
I get to share my light with the world, which is uniquely mine. It is made up of all those past moments that have informed my vibration.
Is it perfect, 12th-dimensional divine source light? No. It has kinks in it, opportunities to grow, to heal.
But it is operating at the perfect frequency for me at this time. It carries with it the pains of the past. And others who have been through similar circumstances may recognise some of themselves in it, which gifts me the opportunity to share my experience with them in the hope that it may help them too.
I am my energy, and my energy is me.
And this is my gift.
To be perfect would make me unrelatable. My greatest strength is my past experience.
And yes, of course, I am dedicated to overcoming the limiting beliefs that formed as a part of that challenge. I desire to return to the perfection of God within me, and I will spend the rest of this life, however long that may be, working towards that goal.
But even without the limitations, those experiences will still be a part of me. They will be a blessing that I can share with others.
My gift is not my ability as a channel.
My path is not focused on a single task or goal.
I am the gift, and so are you.
All of the experiences that led you to this moment, while you read this, made you who you are. And who you are is exactly who you are meant to be in this moment.
There is no expectation on you to be anything other than who you are.
You are loved, truly, wholly and deeply, without condition, for simply being you.
And you might be thinking as you read this, “But I am not happy with who I am right now.” And that is ok too.
You are not the finished product. In fact, there never will be a finished you. Because it is not the destination that matters, it is the present moment.
And as I said before, in this moment, you have the power. You are in control. You have the gift of choice.
You have the wisdom within you to see that things are out of alignment. And you have the will to create change.
My desire for anyone reading this is to give yourself permission to be you. Free from expectation, free from guilt or shame, and to be able to find some amount of gratitude for the journey.
You are the gift, my friend.
You are enough just as you are.
And you are loved.
Never forget this.
Sending you all so much love,
David 🙏💛
