I have been sitting here thinking about what to write about this week and the following dropped right into my mind.
Last night was the first session of my private course where we are using the Ho’oponopono prayer to bring healing and return to the divine within.
In these much smaller, more intimate groups, I always like to allow space for people to share about their experiences, if they would like to.
One beautiful soul within the group shared the following:
“I realised how many areas of my life need healing that we don’t even think about.”
This may seem like a simple statement, but there is true wisdom in this. And I will explain why.
Every day, 8 billion souls walk around on this planet, ruled by the memories of their past. Many of them doing just about anything they can to avoid what is right in front of them. To avoid “doing the work”. Avoiding growth, change, and they are quite happy to continue being unhappy.
By that I mean, they have accepted that their lives are what they are, even if they are miserable, they choose to live as they are rather than change anything. There are so many reasons why they might do this. People think:
I am too old to change.
It is just the way it has always been.
I don’t have the energy or the money to change.
I can’t change because it would upset other people.
I think back to Dr Wayne Dyer’s excellent book, Excuses Begone!, where he goes into great detail about many of the common excuses we tell ourselves and why they are simply ways of protecting ourselves.
A big part of the Ho’oponopono prayer is about accepting responsibility for our lives.
I have been thinking about this a lot ever since channelling my latest message from Melchizedek where he explains how our reality is a mirror. How the people, situations and challenges we see in our lives are manifestations of our internal state.
Each “problem” is in fact an opportunity in disguise. To learn, to heal, to grow.
But in order to recognise this, we first have to accept our role within it.
If everything that goes wrong is someone else’s fault, things can never change, because you are always at the mercy of others.
But if you can accept responsibility for your life, you have the power. And you can use it to reshape your life however you wish.
The real wisdom in what that beautiful soul shared after the meditation last night was a recognition of where they are on their journey, and an acceptance of responsibility for being in that place.
From this state, true healing can occur.
In my own journey, for years I have been rushed off my feet, always being pulled in different directions, and struggling to find the space for clarity. All this time I have been thinking, I need this in order to fix it. It will be better when I have done that, if only I could just do this.
But you know what, I have done all of those things, and here I still am after all this time, still rushed off my feet.
Why? Because it’s me.
I have been unknowingly creating the conditions that allow distraction and disruption into my life.
That is not the fault of others. It is because I invited it.
I read something interesting recently that really resonated with me. Studies have suggested that around half a second before we consciously take action, measurable activity begins to build within the brain.
But some additional research has found activity beginning slightly earlier in regions associated with unconscious processing.
It suggests that much of our conscious action is influenced by processes taking place beneath conscious awareness.
That means that the conscious part of our minds, the one we know of as us, that we identify with, is not the one guiding us. Something else is.
That something can be one of two things:
Memory
Our subconscious is reshaped by the experiences of our life. Every event, whether positive or negative, has an influence on it.
When those memories are painful, they cause the subconscious to act out of self preservation. To take action to keep us safe. It’s a defence mechanism, and a very sensible one.
Here is the challenge though, we have absolutely no idea what is in the subconscious.
This is what my friend on the course was recognising.
It may feel like you have been healing for years, but yet we still have no idea what is lurking beneath.
How many times has something come up in your life and you have said to yourself “I thought I had dealt with this?”.
And yet it is these memories that are sending signals from the subconscious to the conscious mind to direct action within your life.
So you may think to yourself, I wouldn’t manifest this situation, it’s the last thing I want. But there could be a part of your subconscious that you are unaware of that is secretly directing you.
However this is not the only driving force of your subconscious.
Inspiration
The other aspect is inspiration. It is the Divine within you. It is God speaking through you.
This is the place of miracles.
You know those moments where a brilliant idea, or an innate knowing just appears from nowhere? This is inspiration.
It is spirit guiding your life.
This is the place we want to be.
But the challenge is that memory can override inspiration. It can obscure inspiration.
For instance, if an idea pops into your head, how do you know where it has come from?
In my experience, this is something that gets easier to recognise with practice. It is an important part of the spiritual journey, but also one of the most challenging.
But the more we heal, the more we move from memory to inspiration.
Those moments where God, or the Soul, or your Angels or Guides are speaking become that much clearer.
Our manifestation becomes quicker, and more powerful.
We are able to experience more joy, more peace, more love.
This is how we are able to live in flow, or in alignment with the universe, with our higher selves, with God.
This is how we live a better life.
Recognise your role as the creator of your life.
Heal your memory.
Embrace the divine within.
Melchizedek always explains these things better than I ever could, so I wanted to include the video below of his shared message about the mirror of reality:
I encourage you to contemplate his wisdom, and to remember it.
I myself have been guilty on many an occasion of learning something brilliant through YouTube, and then completely forgetting it as soon as the next video starts playing. But what he has shared has real power to bring change to your life, if you are ready to hear it.
I want to end this message by saying to you, my beautiful friend reading this message, who today has entered my reality in this shared connection:
I am sorry
Please forgive me
Thank you
I love you
Sending you so much love
David 🙏💛
