As many of you know, authenticity hasn’t just been the subject of Melchizedek’s channeling the last few months, it has been the natural evolution of my own journey.
Today I want to share an interesting (at least I think so 😂) and unexpected (for me anyway) part of this journey… Grounding.
This is a topic that I think is often under discussed within the spiritual community, and as a result, can lead many to the expectation that they should be doing more, or perhaps they should be pushing through discomfort, or that they just aren’t “grounded enough”.
Today I hope to dispel some of this, and most importantly, help you to recognise that where you are right now is the perfect place for you.
To be truly grounded is to be in your body and present on Earth.
When we are not grounded, this can lead to tiredness, brain fog, a feeling of disconnection, a general lack of clarity and lots more.
So of course, we can see, that in an ideal world we would be fully grounded at all times, but…
As I say, to be grounded means to be “present on Earth”.
For many of us, the lives we have lived, and the experiences we have moved through have left us feeling unsafe to be truly present.
And to force someone into the body who is not ready to be, can be emotionally, and even physically detrimental.
Being grounded isn’t an on/off switch. It is a scale.
We are all in at least some way grounded, otherwise we wouldn’t still be here at all.
Where we are on that scale is dependent on how safe and ready we feel to fully be here on Earth. And that moves from day to day, even minute to minute.
And of course there are things we can do to become more grounded. Working with the Earth Star Chakra. Being out in nature. Conscious “rooting” into the Earth through meditation. Crystals.
These practices, and many more, will help us to move that scale to become more grounded, but overtime our state will naturally fluctuate.
The further we develop on our spiritual path, the higher the baseline on that scale moves. And by that I mean, the more we develop, the more naturally grounded we become.
This is because as we let go of the past, we naturally become more comfortable within ourselves, and therefore we feel safer to be on Earth, and so we are able to ground that little bit more.
This brings me back to authenticity. The further we move into this year, and begin to shed what is not in alignment with the truth of who we are, the more authentic we become.
This isn’t just about thinking and feeling like ourselves.
It is about feeling safe to be ourselves.
To be the beautiful expression of our true thoughts, feelings, passions and even quirks that make us who we are. And most importantly, to accept and love ourselves for it.
To do this is to no longer allow the expectations of the outside world to dictate who we should be, and to accept that the judgment of others has nothing to do with our actions, but is instead about their own sense of self.
When we move into this place, many of the reasons we disconnect from ourselves and the world around us begin to dissolve. As a result, we naturally become more grounded. Not though having to force it, or even really having to encourage it. But by simply being who we are.
If you have been walking the same journey as me this year, in a return to your authentic self, I encourage you to be aware of your level of grounding. When you are feeling more yourself, in the moment, in flow, do you feel more grounded? Perhaps when you are amongst others, where you still have to carry some level of mask, do you feel less?
Just by bring our awareness to this can really help us to recognise areas where perhaps we are moving in and out of “ourselves” and to identity the patterns so we can return home once again.
I really hope this helps you on your journey.
Sending lots of love
David (Team Essery) 🙏💛
